About Me:
Growing up in Sydney I always loved weekends “in the bush” and it was not surprising when I fell for a country boy - Monaro local Damian Rudd. We moved back to Cooma about 10 years ago and bought our farm “Dangelong”, where we now live with our two gorgeous sons - Tom who is 9 & Darcy who is 7. As a family we love going on holidays - whether it be riding in the mountains, skiing, going to the beach or taking our camper trailer to the outback!
My jobs are varied - first and foremost I’m a Mum and I also help Damian run the farm. As well as that I have a marketing background so I work with my good friend Tan Ward in PR & website development as well as working with Upper Snowy Landcare. In my spare time I help run the school canteen and P&C committee.
I love living in Cooma and all the great friends that we have here - it’s a fantastic town and the MCCR and events such as this are a testament to our community and what small towns can achieve.
Why I am participating in Strictly Musical:
Someone asked me recently if I could do any job I wanted, what would it be? And I said that I’d perform on broadway - so I guess that Strictly Musical is the closest I’m ever going to get!!
Like just about everyone, cancer has very recently reminded me of it’s cruel nature. A gorgeous friend of mine from school has just passed away leaving 2 beautiful very young daughters who won’t get to grow up with their Mum; and we’ve also just lost my uncle after a 15 year battle with the disease.
So whilst I’m going to have a heck of a lot of fun and get to know some great people along the way, I also appreciate the benefits that will come from this event for the Cooma community and for those local families that will be tragically effected by cancer.
My Choreographer are:

Monaro Committee for Cancer Research Incorporated
The Monaro Committee for Cancer Research was formed in 1996 by the daughter of a young Monaro mother who after a 5 year struggle lost her battle with cancer. Since its inception the mcCr has supported cancer outreach services on Snowy Monaro. In 2007 after much lobbying, a local oncology service was introduced to the Cooma Hospital. Local support raised in excess of $100,000 towards this project and today we have a successful outreach oncology service. mcCr is a local voluntary group of dedicated women working towards further cancer support and services for the Snowy Monaro Region.Your support will enable mcCr to continue this assistance for cancer sufferers.
