Story

MCCR STRICTLY MUSICAL

 

Already the Monaro Committee for Cancer Research (MCCR) has poured thousands of community dollars into our hospital, cancer care, our oncology unit, our Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) and most importantly into research, which is the foundation of our organisation.

 

Other than the money we raise for research all funds stay right here in our community, which has been a huge boost for cancer care and services in Cooma-Monaro, Bombala and Snowy River Shires. If you would like to know more about MCCR and the work we do please go to mccr.org.au.

 

This year MCCR brings you Strictly Musical, a night of sparkles, mirror balls, colour and of course our local "Stars".

 

You may be familiar with our previous fundraisers, Dancing with the Cooma Stars 2010 & 2012. Strictly Musical will offer you same professional performances and entertainment.

 

Checkout our "Stars" below (scroll through the pages) and help us help families in our region get through the trial of a cancer diagnosis by donating to your favourite "Star".

    Monaro Committee for Cancer Research Incorporated

    The Monaro Committee for Cancer Research was formed in 1996 by the daughter of a young Monaro mother who after a 5 year struggle lost her battle with cancer. Since its inception the mcCr has supported cancer outreach services on Snowy Monaro. In 2007 after much lobbying, a local oncology service was introduced to the Cooma Hospital. Local support raised in excess of $100,000 towards this project and today we have a successful outreach oncology service. mcCr is a local voluntary group of dedicated women working towards further cancer support and services for the Snowy Monaro Region.Your support will enable mcCr to continue this assistance for cancer sufferers.
