Story

Occupation:  Restaurateur, Roses Restaurant

From:   Royal Academy of Good Sorts

About Me:

I moved from Sydney in 1984 to Cooma with my parents and brothers. I connected with the Cooma lifestyle immediately!  After school I invested in a pizza franchise, Capital Dial-a-Pizza, which I owned and operated for 13 years. Ten years ago I ventured into a new business with my mum, Roses Restaurant, which I currently run today. I am also very interested in collecting rare and unusual cars which I enjoy with my wife and two sons.

Why I am participating in Strictly Musical:

I am involved in therapy practice which allows me the opportunity to help and guide people through life’s adventures.  I value helping others greatly, so much so that I would be willing to step out in the public eye, have heaps of fun and raise money for this very worthy cause.

My choreographers are:

Tennille Casanova-Sturgeon and James (Boo) Ewart

Monaro Committee for Cancer Research Incorporated

The Monaro Committee for Cancer Research was formed in 1996 by the daughter of a young Monaro mother who after a 5 year struggle lost her battle with cancer. Since its inception the mcCr has supported cancer outreach services on Snowy Monaro. In 2007 after much lobbying, a local oncology service was introduced to the Cooma Hospital. Local support raised in excess of $100,000 towards this project and today we have a successful outreach oncology service. mcCr is a local voluntary group of dedicated women working towards further cancer support and services for the Snowy Monaro Region.Your support will enable mcCr to continue this assistance for cancer sufferers.
