Story
Hi friends and family,
Thank you so much for considering to give a donation on behalf of our engagement.
As you would have noticed, the charity we have decided to donate to has been changed due to recent information that has surfaced about White Ribbon.
The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is an amazing organisation close to our hearts that aims to ensure the basic human rights of people seeking asylum in Australia. This includes providing legal, health, employment and housing services. The ASRC also has a food bank where Aimee volunteers weekly. The food bank is essentially a supermarket where people seeking asylum can come and shop every week for free. This foodbank runs on 90% donations and feeds over 700 people each week, providing food security for men, women and children who otherwise may not have enough to eat.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice. Your donation will not be visible to other guests.
Thanks again for your support!
All our love,
Aimee & Ricky
ASRC Footscray (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre)
The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement.
As an independent not for profit organisation, we are owned and run by our community. Our programs empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia.
We assist over 7,000 people seeking asylum each year from our centres in Footscray and Dandenong, Victoria.
